I forgot two other family members whose service I recall. My mother's uncle, a lawyer by education, claimed to have served in the Judge Advocate General Corps but I believe that he actually was in OSS (
Office of Strategic Services) given his activities. During the war he travelled to Iran and USSR among other places. His wife was a WAC (
Women's Army Corps).
