OK this next series if of a bf 109 that Adolf Galland flew during the battle of Britain. It was I Diorama I was commissioned to build for G. Gordon Liddy back in the mid-90's. It has a TON of scratch built details from the radio compartment to the 2 engines, and support carts and tables.....even the coffee mugs on the tables were carved from resin scrap! (And they have a brown ink stain inside for coffee!)
The Dio is of an engine change out on Galland's plane as it sat on a siding in France. I think the scale on this was 1/48th....not sure...
I have been told this was presented to Mr. Liddy at a convention in Detroit., and it was HANDCARRIED on a plane!
Yet again...the pics aint the greatest....this was pre-digital era for me...
A blurry shot of the scratch-built interior showing the cockpit and the radio compartment....it was about half-done when I took this....radio compartment area was complete...
OK the following are just some Misc pics I found.
This Tiger sold for $350 to a collector from Chicago. It was heavily upgraded with Verlinden PE and Jordi gun.....and the Model Fruidismo tracks.
This Dio sat at the Local Hobby shop for a few years...til it was dropped on the return trip home!!!!:
