Thanks for that, interesting stuff. My wife's Grandfather was a Captain in the Soviet Army during the GPW! He fought in Manchuria at the end of the war.

As an aside, I have never known anybody I have personally spoken to, who was in the Soviet Army, refer to it as the 'Red Army'.
