These are my lowboots from Schlosser's Supply Room (who also specialize in Blank only fully auto SMGs). THey are probably the best on the market for their price and everyone tells me I won't blow out hobnails like its cool. My only issue is that just like the historical shoe, they don't make wides, so I've been trying to stretch these puppies out with water and with my feet. They fit ok now but i have to almost fully unlace them to get them off or on. Sadly I went to that winter event and it didn't occur to me until I saw the mold on the bottom later that the whole shoe is leather, so I scrubbed the bottoms with saddle soap and will dub the bottom with mink oil as well.
The Gemaschen are a lightweight canvas with leather reinforcement. I believe they are originals with repro hardware. (Bought from Grigsby's Militaria). Regardless they are cool to wear and you don't blouse your trousers into these. German Manuals stated that one should fold their trousers into the gemaschen instead of stuffing them as folding helps save the seams on the trousers.
