I'll have to post this in two parts, dumb as I am I can't figure how to get in more than 4 pictures per post.

Started out with dry wall joint filling compound, (plaster of paris would have worked but I couldn't find it and probably wouldn't have used it if I did.....don't really like to use anything with the word "paris" in it, but I digress).

Anyhoo, I mixed some compound, water and water based 'ochre' acrylic paint together on top of a kitty litter bucket lid - formed a nice little tray/mould for my mixture.


Worked in the water and paint until I got the consistency of Jell-o Pudding. Smoothed it out as level as I could get it and let it set-up over night.
