I wonder what Freightshaker will think. We've had the odd discussion 'elsewhere' about weathering and how far one should go. I personally love it and it's my favourite aspect of modelling. The 'fun' part for me. Freight differs and seems to think some modellers go way too far, but then the thing I like so much about his work is that he's a master of the minimal...the camo scheme on his Sdkfz. 251 pioneer vehicle for example.
I love this dio. for the filth and damage to the vehicle. And the ubiquitous trashed '34.
Looking closely, and I'm really nit-picking now, the tracks on the Tiger seem to be defying gravity (nothing makes a tank model look less like a tank IMO). But the day I build a model without SOME darned flaw I'll celebrate.
Thanks again Davo. (That's Aussie for 'Dave'. Pronounced 'Day-vo' )

I agree Greek. Everything erodes, fades, gets torn up, bent, etc. I mean I can see it in my original gear vs the repro gear. Its so faded the color is almost tan, yet my "exact copy" repro is so much darker since it hasn't seen use. I like weathered vehicles, I remember seeing an awesome M60 (IIRC) model that was done up in a muddy field and the guy even used clear pieces of plastic to mold flying mud onto... Its very neat looking I think it was in FSM... PM might have that issue still.
