Re: Is all backwards music evil?
I do have it on vinyl (heck...the bulk of my music is on vinyl and sadly, unlistened to for years now). Maybe I'll google it.
Thinkin' about this backwards music stuff. Actual backwards music (called 'back masking' in the industry) appears prominently on Jimi Hendrix's track 'Are You Experienced' and also on 'Tomorrow Never Knows' on the Beatles' Revolver album (IMO their best album). Certainly not 'evil' but totally righteous I say!
I remember watching a documentary years ago about two kids who botched their suicides by shotgun. A bad botch...they look so horrendous now they'd almost be better off if they'd succeeded. The authorities happened to find a Judas Priest album on the turntable and the lawsuits were on. If only it were so easy to influence people. We could record a crappy album and have the message; 'tcepser htiw srehto taert' or 'uoy tuoba lla t'nsi ti' or 'skoob erom daer'...the list is endless.
Brings me around to the obliquely related concept of the Spoonerism. Anyone familiar? You substitute the first letters of a two word combination. Thus; 'plastic bag' becomes 'blastic pag' and 'fish tank' becomes 'tish fank'. Okay? Why the hell would Brad and Angelina name their kid Shiloh Pitt?
Alright...it's not even remotely relevant.
Peace.
