You can get prefab buildings from a variety of manufacturers for a variety of periods. They stick out a mile if you've seen a couple done before. If I was a diorama builder, I'd probably take the time to learn how to make my own, that way, I would have something unique each time. It also allows you to make the scenery to 'fit' with the model rather than the other way around.
