As to the images:
I can't figure out who it is in the original photo. I will check in the book this weekend.
Here is another one:

you got to click because the webmaster doesn't like the picture posted else where. It is Mariano S. Ferra - 326th AEB and Jake McNiece - 506th PIR. Members of the "Filthy Thirteen" were members of one of the two Demolition sections in the 506th (the one attached to 3rd Battalion). The other troopers with the Mohawks and paint were the Engineers also attached to 3rd Battalion.
Another:
D-Day - Normandie 1944 : Men of D-Day
Here is a video link of them preparing for the jump:
82nd Airborne PARATROOPERS Don Mohawks, Apply FACEPAINT Before D-Day
It is miss-labeled as 82nd Airborne but it is actually the Filthy 13. Only the first half is Them...the second half is in Italy.
The blacking on other paratroopers faces is actually Charcoal or Grease Paint.
Read the book "The Filthy Thirteen: From the Dustbowl to Hitler's Eagle's Nest :The True Story of the101st Airborne's Most Legendary Squad of Combat Paratroopers"
