I'd guess that the gasoline charred the bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun and that Soviet artillery and bombs did the rest of the work.
Stalin and the KGB at various times claimed that:
- he died and they had his body
- he escaped
- he was alive and was kept in their custody for many years
What's clear from that is that the Soviets most likely had no bodies and no evidence. But the likelihood that he could have hidden anywhere in the word (except perhaps in the mountains of Afghanistan

)is pretty low.
