Most people in Germany believed Hitler because until that point he had done great things for Germany in terms of the economy and infrastructure. People no longer were hungry, and the sense of national pride had been restored. So he was easy to believe.
But note the obvious propaganda as well. Everyone hates Germany, Fance's "shrinking biological strength", etc.
