They are grown in Hawaii, and melt in your mouth just like butter (well almost). They are very exprensive, but worth the price. Most well stocked supermarkets have them. Buy a jar and give them a try. One thing I learned when I was in Hawaii, while they are grown there, they are shipped to California to be processed and then (some) shipped back to Hawaii for consumption. Therefore Hawaiian macadamia nuts are more expensive in Hawaii than they are on the mainland, due to shipping costs. Go figure?
