For an 'old' guy, I'm a little more new-school. I loved Verlinden and I still have a few of his books. They're not very informative though and often badly written and translated. The pictures make them worthwhile. I still think Verlinden does the best aircraft I've ever seen.
Lately, thanks to Razorboy, I've been exposed to Shige and Kunihito's amazing work. I've learned a lot from Mig Jimenez but I prefer the more 'scientific' approach of guys like Mirko Bayerl. Mig is a painter in my opinion. A bit more 'artsy'.
Shep Paine has barely entered my world. He's mostly just a guy I've heard of.
