Re: I have landed
Very interesting David...I hope to see you participating in some games in the Game Forum Game Den very soon!
Like TRDG, I haven't played a lot of Pacific Theater...my Dad was in the Canadian Army in WWII, and that started my interest primarily in the the ETO. But that said, I have slowly come to appreciate how different, and interesting, the Pacific was.
I have an old War in the Pacific mega game, I believe it was an Avalon Hill title, down in my game room, but haven't played it yet. For the Pacific, I have played a scenario of Memoir '44 with the Pacific Expansion, which is EXCELLENT (you may want to look into it, as it is psedo-miniature wargaming!). I am planning on hosting a Memoir '44 game in the Game Den soon...and I'm sure I'll sneak in a Pacific scenario in there at some point. The other game I have that has Pacific components is Axis & Allies: Miniatures (another you may wish to peek at); and again, another game I plan to host in the near future.
Good to have another gamer at the Zone, and I look forward to seeing you in the Game Forum, my friend! Ciao!!
