Re: Miniatures - You play - I do the work

Thanks Tom. I hope it helps. I was going to look into showing measurements in some way but the rule system doesn't allow it. Each target is specified before shooting and units to fire must be specified too. That way if a unit is eliminated other units specified as firing a re said to have had their shot and cannot change target. Makes things more interesting too. Also, measurements from firer to target are not made until actual firing takes place, also more interesting. Same for movement - no measuring of distance before the move.

Also, one thing I haven't mentioned for movement rolls - if a unit rolls badly and has to fall back one action disordered or to nearest cover, it may actually stay where it is if already in cover - eg the German infantry in the rocks. If they roll very badly to move and get this effect, they will become disordered but will stay in position as it is cover.

Another thing is that although infantry can't fire through friendly infantry, tanks and guns can providing they are firing at a vehicle or gun - not at infantry.

The next one or two moves will probably decide the game one way or the other. Whether it becomes a draw, marginal victory, or decisive victory remains to be seen.

The German units have certainly been compressed into the one area around the ridge from their own placement and from the British moves - a lot of teeth left in a small area. It's now up to the British to snap the jaws shut and see if they can knock out a few fillings.
