Good eye. The grave in the foreground obviously contains Russians and very well done for a battlefield burial. The roadside is lined with German graves, hence the Tyr runes, and made from the preferred birch.
A fight took place there, and due to the runes and a German column in the extreme background, The Germans held the ground.
The post of the Russian grave is birch.
This all leads me to believe that it was the Germans that gave their fallen advisories a decent burial.
