No idea. But I have some questions. Are there any stamps on it? Maybe on the back or the inside...particularly '925' or 'stg sil' The stamps may provide clues to a maker or place of manufacture. If it has either of the above mentioned stamps, it's made of silver. (My Dad was a jeweller so I have the odd insight). Stamps may be cunningly concealed...check the hinges and places like that also.
