Maybe it's got a lot to do with our own interests and what we are best at. Some people seem to be brilliant with figures but their efforts on vehicles are bland as if they just wanted to knock something up to put the wonderful figures on. I have trouble as I've said before with ships and aircraft. A lot of that may be to do with the kits I have done being almost exclusively Airfix (older mostly). I think it may be partly due to my own preference for other subjects though. I built a 1/72 Spitfire for a friend and spent more time on the refuelling truck than I did on the plane. In the end the whole think looked ok but the plane could have been a lot better, especially since it is what most would actually look at first.

Too many ideas and too little patience perhaps. That is one of the major reasons why I appreciate these builds so very much. It has shown me that sometimes that little bit of patience with something that is not necessarily a favourite can be well rewarded.
