Both great point of views lads! I think we all have a lot in common, and all at different levels of experience and time invested in honing the craft. I really look at model building as a craft...a definitely an art. No matter the amount of detail, or how quicly you bang ourt the sucker, or for what motivation, the fact that you applied one drop of glue to a piece and pressed it against another attests to an effort in creativity. Even the disasters mean something.

I've amazed myself at the amount of time and detail I've put into my builds; I've not really cut corners; and I've had a lot of surprises (not all of them nice). But the build is a signiture in so many ways, and is very emblematic of where we are in our own right. To me, it's all good.
