Here in Latvia it varies on brand. I smoke Kent and they are 1.50LVL ($3). The price of Ciggies here has double in the 3 years I have been in Latvia.
The UK has the most expensive ciggies in the EU and Latvia has the cheapest.

Hah! I used to smoke Kent with the famous micronite filters. Hard to get here.
Lots of people roll their own here. Champion Ruby is the most popular...it's kinda cool as it has a Roman gladiator on the packet. There's tons of tax on Aussie ciggies. A pretty stupid governmental attempt to make people quit. All it does is make people poor. My theory is that if tobacco was free, all the same people would smoke and the same non-smokers wouldn't.
I used to smoke a pack of 25 a day for 25 years. My parents did too. Until about three years ago, I could say that I'd smoked since conception. I'm sure that it will shorten my life despite having quit (mostly) for three years. I'm forty. Both my parents died from smoking related illnesses. I still crave them sometimes but not every day. I don't drink much alcohol so that makes it much easier. It's more psychological than physical I think.
