Wounded troops are waiting at a forward medical unit in the jungles of New Guinea, for evacuation to Australian hospitals, 1942.


U.S. Soldier has been wounded in the arms and shoulders by shrapnel from a Japanese mortar as he was storming a pillbox during the New Guinea Campaign. The wounded are moved to this forward aid station to stabilize before moving to the rear, 1942.
