LOL, been there.
The guy who got me into gaming when i was a kid, just up and quit playing for no reason when i was 14. He was my older brothers best friend and really had no reason to stop playing games with me. Im still friends with him to this day and occasionaly ill ask him why he quit and he will say "I dont know.....", go figure.
I searched for a few years til i was about 24 til i found someone to play with again, but in the mean time i still bought games and played solo. Then as it turned out a friend i had since we were in kindergarten informs me one day when he sees all my war games displayed on a shelf that he would be into playing them! Im like why didnt you tell me this s@#$ 10 years ago, LOL. So anyhow we play like 3 nights a week solid for like two years and then he meets a girl and moves to Georgia, i havent seen hide nor hair of him in 14 years.
But i have recently been able to talk one of my long time D&D companions into playing simple wargames like A&A and Memoir '44 and he really likes them. Plus i have a few military history inclined nephews that are now old enough to play so i once again have people to play but my gaming time is limited due to my buddies work schedule aand the kids school schedule.
