Klaus, both from personal opinion, and from a factual basis, I'm going to disagree with that statement.
I can't recall the exact figure off the top of my head, but it's a ridiculous amount. Especially considering that he's going to be supported by the taxpayers in a better condition than he quite possibly would on the street, all because he was
convicted of a heinous crime!
The taxpayers become responsible for feeding and clothing him, paying for "babysitters" (like me!), and picking up any medical costs. Why?
Putting someone on death row isn't expensive. What's expensive is the bills for a string of lawyers to file appeal after spurious appeal, to save the life of a murderer/rapist/pedophile/serial killer/cop killer/all of the above!
Personally, I resent the hell out of
any of my money having to pay to support scum like that. Hell, buy the ammo, and I'll shoot 'em for free, and so would a lot of other people!
