I read of an ambush on an American supply convoy during the Ardennes Offensive. There are many pictures of German troops with 'booty'. Among the usual chocolate and cigarettes, the most popular items seemed to be .45s, American waterproof ponchos and M1 Carbines.
Anyone else think the guy at the back is carrying an M1? I only half think he is. |
I don't think it's an M1, the buttplate looks wrong.
