The Filthy Thirteen

Hello All!
Just thought you might get a kick out these pictures. As you know, I've been using WW2 reenactors for Sgt. Rock. Well, one of the units near me also do an E company, 506th impression. Several are friends with Bill Garnere, other Easy vets and also Jack Agnew. So they asked if I'd like to join them this past weekend at the American Air Power museum for the D Day Experience Flight. People came (at least 60) and paid $300.00, to get the airborne experience, get kitted out a bit, go through a briefing etc. etc and then go up in the C47 ( a vet of DDay and Market Garden) for an hour ride with us above Long Island. Since I'm now an official "Filthy Thirteen" fanatic and over all 101 buff myself, they asked if I'd like to come along, fly with them and tell some stories, so I said sure, but want to go as a member of the "Flithy Thirteen." Well needless to say all were pretty surprised when I showed up all kitted out as a HQ Demolitions man complete with mohawk and "war paint." I had a blast and played up the character of not saluting and being a bit of jerk to the Easy Company guys. The museum visitors (about 300 or so) really got a kick out of all of this it and we hammed it up as I was chuting up and told an Easy Company officer that "I don't salute officers and if you don't walk away now, I'll whip your ass!". Anyway, I pretty much had just about everything but the gas brassard, and had a lot of fun with all the people. And yes, I'm still married after gettin' the hawk!
Currahee!!!!
