German Defensive Fire Phase.

Top section - fires at the closest Russian infantry - a suppression.

Middle section - same option - rotten shot - nothing.

The PAK opens up at the KV - a hit and a suppression.

Not as good as hoped by the Germans but maybe they are just warming up.

Close Combat Phase.

Top area. Three SMG sections against one disordered German section - The Germans put up a stiff fight - One Russian unit is eliminated along with the Germans - the Russians seize the position.

Middle area. Two Russian rifle units and a command unit against one disordered German section - again a fierce fight - the German section is pushed out of their position and falls back one action, still disordered. Russian troops take the position.

Results as expected really but a good fight by the tough Grenadiers.

Umbrellas up Russians - it is now the German turn - Artillery then offensive fire.
