Stevie Ray Vaughan

You think so? I'm a Hendrix man myself...but Stevie was good.
As a guitar player, I'd say Stevie had better technique than Jimi. If you take that to the extreme, you get players like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani...so proficient technically that they forget what they're doing...trying to convey emotion through music. Too technical sounds like a 'guitar playing machine'...soulless and dry. Not that SRV was like that but I'm trying (in a round about way I guess) to make the point that I enjoy Jimi's music 'soul'.
I miss them both.

Gotta go with Jimi on this one. Both were great and both left the scene way too early. Roy Buchanon was another great that was done too soon.
