Re: Forced Repatriation of Soviet POW's
In some cases those Soviet citizens were actually citizens of other countries prior to the war and were now subjects of Stalin. Take for instance citizens of the Baltic States or of Bessarabia. They may have seen the Nazis, initially at least, as liberators. And many certainly were Ukrainians who felt the same way.
I'm not justifying siding with the enemy, but this was not a cut and dried issue. Did the Dutch execute their citizens who joined the SS?
