Stew on toast...first I've heard of that...sounds yummy! In Canada, they are very big on what they call "open faced sandwiches"...usually a meat like roast beef or pot roast, with gravy on top. My wife makes what she calls a Tuna Melt, in which she toasts tuna and mayo with Garlic Powder on top, all sitting on top of a piece of toasted bread. It's quite good. She used to make something with a Tomato and something or other on top of toast, as well.
This morning I was hungry as a bear...had a sour stomach last night, so it was a light dinner. Having a Bagle with cream cheese and a cafa!
