4000?? Impressive! Thanks for sharing them with us. These collections - are they actually sold by the families? How can this be? Donīt they wish to keep them? I mean, if they were pictures of Einzatzgruppen or SS ( not Waffen) I might understand, as they were responsible for most of the crimes for which ALL German armed forces were blamed for in the end - and there was no love between the Wehrmacht and the SS precisely because of that.
I have some pictures of my grandfather in the German Army in WWI - and I wouldnīt DREAM of selling them. Perhaps I can upload them in a WWI section to share - but could never sell them. Anyway, I guess to some people, a buck is a buck, ha? To hell with family and tradition. I really enjoy the site. Thanks again and greetings to all.

After I weed out doubles and redundancies we will probably end up with about 3K.
As for why many of these were sold, I have no answer. I would pay a fortune for a war time photo of my father in uniform or any photo of my brother. Sadly, none survived the war.
Please post whatever photos you have. The more we share, the more we learn.
