Wilhelm Adam
He was an NVA general with a very unusuall career.
He fought in WW1, after the war he joined the Nazi party in 1923 and took part in the beer hall putch at the same year, however he left the party in 1926 (hence it's not clear if he won the Blutorden) and joined the DNVP and the Stalhelm, he then join the Wehrmacht and serve as Paulus adjusten in Stalingrad, he won the RK and was captured by the Soviets, he joined the anti-nazi organisation of the German POW, because of that he was sentence to death by the TR, after the war he return to the DDR and join the NVA, and rose to the rank of major-general.
He was only one of 7 RK holders who serve in the NVA and probably the only NVA soldier who took part in the Nazi putch at 1923.
NOTE: He is not to be cofuse with a Reichswehr/Wehrmacht general by the same name.
