Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190

Ah thanks for that mate now i get what your saying and yes your right there the d9 never did use any r series modifications however, some were configured to carry a small bomb payload . The d9 is a very interesting aircraft. Being a modeller i have 8 kits of the d9 in my cupboard waiting to be built so i have a fair amount of research material on hand. The Japo series on the d9 would have to be the most comprehensive i have seen and im just about to add the Eagle Editions book to the collection so im always eager to learn more. Thanks again Erich

LAH yes you want the EE Dora volume 1 book, Jerry is working feverishly on the second volume as he wants it out asap, besides the Ta 152H book. I stayed with them 3 weeks ago for 3 days discussing a future book project.

good people and great products, his photo collection is vast.

little advance notice you will want to keep 1-2 of those Dora kits handy for the future.

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190

Hm Erich im curious as to why i need to hold onto a couple of kits i have enought kits to do the standard d9 one with the 3 peice and the other 5 peice cowling version's , the ta-152 tailed d9, the d11 (rutmann conversion kit), and the d13 (rutmann conversion kit). I have heard the EE book compliments the Japo books beautifully, what are your thoughts Erich?

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190

I was thinking the Dora 9 kits LAH, there will be another JG unit history in the making soon

I'm trying to be very subtle in my answer without revelaing too much, and yes Jerry's book compliments very well, stunning profiles actually along the line of his Dora-Grünherz book from some years ago. had that one personally signed by a couple of aces.
