Re: Name That Plane

Okay we need to keep on rolling so sorry Wustenfuchs but we will have to find out what your AC was later.

Re: Name That Plane

It sure is butugly! I've no idea exactly right now what it is but have a small hunch. The question is if I should hunt it down or continue to chase some tail...

Re: Name That Plane

Isn't it a Folland FO 108, it was some sort of testing craft from the early 40's I think. Really distinctive cowling and prop. My Dad has loads of old post-war pictures from Farnborough (Royal Aircraft Establishment) and i'm sure there are a few of them there then (50's).

Well done.

You are 100% correct Morto, it is the Folland FO108.

Its now your turn to pick the next aircraft for us to identify and post a picture of it.
(Make it an obscure one, we love a challenge.)

Cheers,
Dave

NB: If you don't want to choose the next subject or can't post a picture of it? Please let me know so someone else can.

Re: Name That Plane

It's a plus if you make it an ugly one...

Re: Name That Plane

Re: Name That Plane

Points to you Kiwiguy, I was gambling on the fact that people would go for the Whirlwind. You're too good!
