I'd say you were right about this being a F-4 Trop. The white theatre markings denote Mediterranean/African service and the single colour camo looks like light blue/sand.

The problem is that I've seen G-2's in the same colours n' with white markings but I'm guessing that it's an F-4/Trop.

The lack of wing armament would suggest an F model. What ever it is, great picture.

Okay I know the picture of the B-26 isn't exactly a 'wreck' but it would have ended up one not long after the photo was taken.
