WW2 Aviation Quiz

How about a little quiz for us plane nuts? Hope you dont mind Dave. I will start wit an easy question:

Which unit first painted a sharks mouth on the nose of a P-40 and has been named after the fact ever since??



No idea what the umbrella means but I'm going to use it anyway!

I wouldn't make it that easy! I actually only learned this myself tonight whilst doing a bit of reaserch (that should give it away!). I always thought it was the Flying Tigers as well!

112 Squadron RAF is the Shark Squadron. Is the one you are referring to?

I would have suggested the Flying Tigers too. Fascinating unit.
