Note in some of the previous pics there are no barrels in the gun cooling jackets. It is much rarer to see action portrait shots with the barrels in place but they are around . . . see previous post.  Me410 A3 (Smithsonian) That's a fair amount of steel. At the time pic was taken the guts were being preserved elsewhere leaving a gutted looking interior. Last edited by Randy; May 15th, 2008 at 07:33 PM.

That would be the nose of a B-17G. The Norden Bombsight is covered to protect its secrecy. The chin turret is aimed remotely by a yoke mounted on an arm from the right side of the fuselage that stows towards the right side of the fuselage (while using the bombsight) and aimed via a reflector sight suspended from the top center.
