Re: Finnish Aircraft
Hey mate...welcome to the zone N_N.
I don't know how much you know about WW2 aircraft but I can give you an 'off-the-top-of-my-head' list of the types used by the Finns. Gloster Gladiator Bristol Blenheim Fokker XXI Mörkö Morane (French aircraft with local modifications I think) Messerschmitt 109G-6 Captured aircraft including Polikarpov I-16, Lavochkin LaGG 3 and probably others. Dornier 17Z Junkers Ju 52 Hawker Hurricane (?) Curtiss Hawk That's about the best I can do at the moment...hope it helps.

Re: Finnish Aircraft
I see the question mark Nick and can confirm that the Finnish Air Force did use the Hurricane as can be seen in the picture below:

Re: Finnish Aircraft
I thought so. I can remember going to a Finnish aviation museum in the mid 1970s. They had 1/72 models of every type they used...there were maybe two dozen and I'm trying not to exaggerate.

Re: Finnish Aircraft
I don't know what that odd bird is, but I don't think it's an He-115.
Here are some He-115's: Heinkel_He_115A-2_%28He_115N%29_F.60_of_the_Royal_Norwegian_Navy_Air_Service.jpg he115-6.jpg 2814L.jpg

Re: Finnish Aircraft
Jim's right. I believe Finland had one He 115 that was a defector from the Norwegian A/F. Highly regarded it was too. Your pic looks like a 'Ford Trimotor' except it only has one engine. It may also be an early Junkers type at a guess.
