It could be a P-40 Tomahawk, Kittyhawk or Warhawk mate. The radiator is a P-40 give away. There's certainly no Italian type I know of with such a prominent 'chin'.

Love the Aussie P-40s McCoy. Thanks. I wonder where that is. Maybe Bougainville? Those white recognition markings were present on the later version of the P-39 I built and that was based in New Guinea.
