There's also a guy who makes 'toys for rich boys' who builds replicas to original factory specs as far as he can. You can own your own Spitfire for one million US dollars.

A Kiwi Spitfire Mk XVI TE330 has just been sold to a museum in Hong Kong. I contacted the Spitfire website listed above. It wasn't on their list.
