Nice work Bill. My favourite is the MC. 202 (Veltro?).
Speed wise, a match for its Allied opponents (I believe it had the same powerplant as the Bf. 109F...don't quote me) but under-gunned.
Of interest in the Ju87 pic is the 'Diving Duck' emblem on the wheel spat.
CR. 32 was the 'ultimate' aerobat...an excellent stunt-flyer but was fragile in the air. Unable to withstand much damage and had a disturbing tendency to explode in mid-air if hit in the 'sweet spot' (fuel tank).

Yes speed wise the MC. 202 (Folgore) was on par with the Allied aircraft at the time, but under gunned (although replacing the two 7.7mm MGs with 20mm cannon later in the war helped). And you're right about the Daimler Benz DB 601 engine powering both the MC. 202 and the Bf 109F.

The Italians had some really nice looking aircraft, and some awesome camo patterns!
