But I have tried Sauerkraut. (YUKK!!!)

The Bavarian style sweet kraut is vastly superior to regular sauerkraut and goes great with pork dishes. Just ask panzermacher. Like me he was raised on the stuff. Klaus is from that region and probably knows it well also.
