Re: Imperial Awards

Very nice mate, the case looks like it's in excellent condition. Cases often cost more than the medals nowadays.

Re: Imperial Awards

While not an award as such, the next one is an interesting period piece. It is also not an Imperial item, but a Weimar period piece. It is a 1932 Vereins Meister Klein Kalibre Schützen Abteilung SCO Medaille, which I believe means a Master Small Calibre medal from the Veriens Shooting Club:

Re: Imperial Awards

Hindeburg crosses,

these are technically third reich pieces as they were awarded during the TR period but for WW1 veterans, there are three, the first, bronze with swords is for combatants, the second bronze without swords is for not combatants, and the last (2), black, are for widows and next of kin of the fallen.

Are they your Hindenburg Crosses mate? We have identified over 150 makers so far on my site, and I am trying to get one from each maker and for each class, so I could be looking at over 450 all up (if each maker made all three classes of HK). So far I have over 130, still a long way to go!

Re: Imperial Awards

Okay, great! If there are makers marks, and even if there aren't, (which makes them rarer!), and you feel like posting a photo of the hersteller (maker mark) on the appropriate database on my site, please do! We are trying to get photos of all the different makers, have about 20% so far.
