Army Anti-Aircraft Badge


Instituted 13 July 1941

Requirements:
Performing an act of bravery while on anti-aircraft duty, or
Being wounded while on anti-aircraft duty, or
Being the commander of a battery where half of the men have received the award
Receiving sixteen points (4 points for destroying an enemy plane without support, 2 point with support and 1 point for the searchlight crew credited with first location).

Requirements:

12 weeks service on a battleship or cruiser

The number of weeks were reduced if one or more of these conditions were met:

Being wounded or killed during the voyage

Performing acts above and beyond the call of duty

He obviously had little problem with wearing his Nazi version of the decoration many years after the war although strictly forbidden, especially in Germany
