GENERAL HQ orders to Co A platoon leaders
HQ will recon the woods and take some shots. Tomzak 1st Platoon - Airchallanged (Matt) Look at the orchard in front of you and the Russian ? positions, if you move, I think they may spot you from a couple positions, but we need to draw some fire from there to see what we are dealing with!! Maybe advance 1 squad and see the reaction, and /or do some recon prep fire will work. Just be ready to either support HQ platoon or the other platoons in Co A to the right of you, depending on what Russian forces we get active for turn two is all I ask. 2nd platoon - Pat BC Recon fire that first house over to the upper right along with 3rd platoon to get some reaction on that suspected Russian house. Then see what pops up and advance for a better fire angle on the house. 3rd Platoon - WR You will cover 2nd platoon and he will do the same for you!! recon by fire on the same house Pat is going for, then angle in for better shots using the terrain provided for best effect. The only crimp I've got is trying to figure out that damned hedge...Drakk indicated that if you're not in the hex of the hedge, you can't see thru it or LOS thru...I am waiting for Deuce to clarify, as this will totally ruin my plan!

2nd platoon Orders
Prep fire Squad in O7 is spotter for 2nd Platoon mortar. Squad calls Mortar rounds on House O6. Movement Phase None Advance Phase Squad with ATR in P9 moves to P8

PatBC is correct. You can see over it IF you or your target are in a hex where the hedge/wall is present. What you will want to do is move up to the hedge/wall hex and use it for cover (Wall Advantage). With Wall Advantage it means that you can fire at someone directly in the adjacent hex so that YOU get the Wall benefits BUT they do not.

So you CAN'T "see through" hedge and wall formations UNLESS you are in the same hex as the terrain feature. If you are SHOOTING THROUGH a hex other than your own with that terrain feature, you DO NOT have line of site.
The only exception being is the Orchards I think you said.....?? Time expired on doing an EDIT on HQ group 1, so here it is asto something needed to be added to them PREP FIRE - Group 1 is part of the 1-3 fire group for the bonus added to them!! ![]() Co Tomzak

Yes, OR they are in the hex that the hedge/wall is part of.
