Exclamation German orders for FoW Bridge Assault

[IMG][/IMG]

Board B, section 1 German forces.

As you can see, your Panthers are here, Puma recon and one of your FJ platoons, most critical though is the HQ Command Pz IV H, your leader, who will take Company morale checks as needed for this srike force, so be carefull not to lose him!!

3 Panthers -Confident Vet
3 Pumas -Confident Vet
1 Pz IV H -Confident Vet
10 FJ infrantry stands -Fearless Vet

They come into the battle on the move, but you still have your full range of movement, Tanks are 12 inchs (cross country) as well as your Puma teams and Pz IV H. Your FJ infrantry can move 6 inchs at regular movement.

You can move any unit double (at the double) the regular movement, but no firing and assaulting, and the enemy gets DOUBLE the regular shots their next turn, be very carefull here people.

Two more pics to go, then your overall orders, and some "other things" Ha Ha!!

Board B, German section 2

Here we have one section of your Arty, the mighty guns of the Hummel, staff team with their radio truck, OOPS forgot the commander, I'll get it next pic, sorry. HHMM, the spotter OP Pz III you ask, it did'nt make it onto the battlefield yet, That unit did'nt get a good roll, so hopefully the next turn. No worries though, you can "spot" yourself if needed per team for an Arty barage. You see the main road to the bridge, what's that next to the bridge?? Looks like a minefield to me...... Good thing the High Command gave you some Pioneers to deal with it!! WINK.

3 Hummels, can direct fire one shot each, but an arty barrage can only be done IF you did not move your units in that platoon!!
1 staff team and radio truck
Commander and car, (not pictured)
1 Pz III OP tank, did'nt make it onto the board this turn.

Russian minefield, I'll explain more when you get up there, when it happens that is!!

Cheers

Tom

Board B, section 3

The best pic I could get, but you have your platoon of Jagdpanzer IV's, the second FJ platoon and Pioneer Platoon with the infrantry still in their half-tracks. Here you have the most terrain to play with, more on that in the Q&A thread later

4 Jagdpanzer IV's -Confident Vet
10 stands of FJ -Fearless Vet
4 Pioneerr half-tracks, inside them are 7 infrantry stands total, amazing what they can cram in there, don't ya think? LOL -Confident Vet

Cheers, now for the new Russian order thread!!

Arrow Re: German orders for FoW Bridge Assault

The German High Command has sent you on a mission of vital importance, capture the bridgehead that you just had slip from your hands 2 days ago, ASAP!! The Germans can't afford to let the Russians get another foothold over this river, it is our main defensive line. We ae sorry (LOL) for the mismash of units, but we expect no complaints from you, we have scaped up as much as was available, more forces are also on the way, IF YOU ARE LUCKY!!!
Final orders for part one of your mission is to capture that bridge and force your pltoons over that bridge, taking minimal casualties, and inflicting the max on our enemies!!
Intel has just notified us that there may be another route or two other than the bridge!!! Something about some kind of hold out/lost part of an infrantry platoon that is staying tight in some terrain features. We suggest that your recon gets activated when it is fairly safe to do so, and get their intel. Your Puma force will get this done the fastest, and with the best chances, compared to your other units.
Your Pioneerplatooon should not be wasted either, clear that minefield IF it is active, there is a chance there might be a way through IF the Pioneers can get close to it, I'm sure the Russians will try their hardest not to let that happen.

For the Fatherland, you have your orders sir, we expect a victory communika very soon from you and your Co!!!, That is all for now, good luck!! Your secondary objective will be wired to you once you are over the bridge.

Re: German orders for FoW Bridge Assault

OKIE DOKIE! I'm pinch hitting for Magna while he's away for a couple days, Heaven help him! (Hey, he asked me to do it, so he get's waht he asked for!) So, I hesitated slightly at starting to post here, as I wasn't sure I was selling the Farm with my intel...perhaps its part of the mechanics of the system that it works best this way, so here goes. I'll post each flank separately.

RIGHT FLANK:
  • Puma off of rocks and move slight left towards treeline...fire at best opportunity (Peekaboo!)
  • Puma right of rocks go round the bend toward treeline...fire at best opportunity (Peekaditto!)
  • Puma toward behind rocks shift left, around rocks, and head for the right of the major woods treeline...fire at best opportunity
  • 5 most forward FJ Infantry stands move forward to treeline...fire at best opportunity; other 5 in rear will hang back as support as Pz IV moves up into them...fire at best opportunity if possible
  • Forward Panther behind rocks moves up and over rocks and shifts slightly left ...fire at best opportunity
  • Panther behind above Panther moves up onto top of Rocks...fire at best opportunity
  • Third Panther moves up with Pz IV

Re: German orders for FoW Bridge Assault

CENTER:

  • 3 Hummels Arty fire at Russian Infantry behind Minefield
  • Haven't a clue what the Staff Team can do, so they'll hang back and try to pick up some Disco music 40 years too soon!
  • Commander and Car...well, since their not pictured, and I don't know where they are, I'll hold them at station to slap the Radio Staff Team for being so stupid, and inform them that "Izis only da Classical at da Front!!!!!!!"

Looks good, and thanks for helping out here Buddy!! Next turn though, please tell me specifically what enemy platoons you are shooting at, This time I will judge where they will go if no specific orders are set. Ha Ha

Dave would strangle you with this one, please think again....... Sorry Mike, but I just had to, and it will apply to you as well on your turn if needed. WINK

Staff teams give an arty battery the option to redo Arty barrages that are already sighted in to NOT HAVE TO RANGE IN AGAIN the next turn, IF it is the same target/ LOL, great stuff!!

Roger that, a little risky on those poor Pioneers (not as bad as the Hummels though!!) but as ordered. Did you want any teams to "play" with the minefield by chance if they get close enough??

I'll roll thes tonight and take pics Friday, the ones I can do, until the Hummel orders come in.

Not to bad for a first timer, Mike might be squirming a bit, but we will see....

Did you want to assault anything if some of your units are in range (4 inchs), if so, let me know as quick as you can.
