[/IMG]Board B, Russian section 4 A variety of units here, as you can see, how the Russians scraped up that KV-2 is beyond beleaf in this stage of the war, but its there. LOL 1 KV-2 -Fearless trained (Guards) 1 Heavy Mortar Platoon x 6 stands plus commander, way in the back and across the river...... -Fearless Trained (Guards) 2 Maxim MG teams -Fearless Trained (Guards) 7 Rifle/MG teams -Fearless Trained (Guards) 1 Heavy mortar Spotter, on top of the (Tan) rock. Fearless Trained (Guards) A nice force mix to have covering your right river side of that CRITICAL bridge. Cheers Tom |

[/IMG][IMG] [/IMG]Two pics here to get this force portrayed right from Board B Russian section 5. 2 57mm ZIS- 2 AT guns, next to either side of the bridge entrance 9 Rifle/MG Strel infrantry stands 1 Commisar 1 Minefield, across the road to the bridge!!! 1 Stalin 2 tank, just to the left on the rise of the bridge 1 Sherman (Lend Lease) 76mm to the right on the bridge rise 1 KV-85 on the bridge, back part of the board. 2 SU-85's, both on the bridge as fate would have it, just crossing over at this moment withan SU 122 between then, not a good place to defend a bridge. LOL 2 SU 122's, one just coming from the bridge and one still on it, between two SU 85's. All of these units are rated as Fearless Trained (Guards) (FT for short) Cheers Last edited by TRDG; July 14th, 2008 at 05:46 PM. |

[/IMG][IMG] [/IMG]The final section (thank god for miracles, LOL) of board B, Russian section 6 by the way. It seems the "weakest" force, but is it really?, we will find out soon I bet....... 2 57 mm ZUS-2 AT guns 2 Maxim MG teams 2 Rifle/MG Strelkovy infrantry stands 2 75mm Shermans, and in not so good of a position I think, they just came in off another access road....... 1 T-34/85 1 Company commander (the red Flagged one) 1 2nd in command, right next to the Co commander. Cheers, almost time for a break, I've been at this for some hours today!!! Tom

Dear Comrade Commisar, we at STAVKA are glad that you took that bridge from those Germans forces, now you must hold it from all comers, which are sure to follow through with a counterattack!! You must give us time to get our reinforcements un to that village just behind you, your forces are not perfect, but that is all that survived your first bridge taking battle from two days ago.
Our Russian Partisans report that there are two other routes across the river, but were not able to get "where" they are,before the expected attack occured, so stay alert, you may have to shift your forces around a bit IF the Germans find out about this in some way. Stalin is watching you, so no retreating unless the bridgehead is a total wash, then regroup at the village and counterattack your enemy as needed. STAVKA |

Re: Russian orders for FoW Bridge Assault
Not sure if i got this in order but;
Board B, Russian section 4; No moving. Everyone fire at the closest enemy units. Concentrate fire on any armor. The Mortars will target any infantry within range, if not, then the lighter armor. Board B, Russian section 5; Move the SU85's and the SU 122's forward and off the bridge and deploy behind the dug in infantry (SU122 to the left and right, the SU85 in the center). All else stays puts. JS and Sherman overwatch and fire on the nearest enemy armor (SU85 and SU122 do the same after moving if possible). Everyone who can (Inf and ATG's) will fire at the closest enemy units with Inf concentrate on Inf and ATG/armor concentrate on enemy armor. Board B, Russian section 6; Moved the 2 Shermans off the access road and into position behind the left most 57mm ATG (the KIA one). The T-34/85 will stay put and overwatch them all. Everyone who can (Inf and ATG's) will fire at the closest enemy units with Inf concentrate on Inf and ATG/armor concentrate on enemy armor.

Roger that Comrade, just be a little more specific on the armour on armour shots, as in half-track shots, or tank/assault gun shots/Panther/Puma shots, it can be critical here for the battle. If you have a question of line of sight after movement, let me know here.
Cheers, thanks for playin', PM gi-rene to see where he can help you out as needed. STAVKA

Board B, Russian section 4
[IMG] [/IMG]The KV-2 takes a shot at a very unhappy Puma, weak armour and a heavy gun do not mix, Recon Platoon is short one vehicle now....... Infrantry fire at the FJ squads they can get a line of site to, a couple hits, but all pass their saves except 1. The Heavy Mortars kick in and fire a barrage at the FJ's as well, a pic in a minute, 5 out of 6 hits, but they all soldier through and save. BUT they are pinned down as any arty barrage that hits a unit pins that platoon. What that means is that the FJ platoon pictured, cuts their FP (firepower in half, so it is a 1 per squad. They can not move ahead to engage the enemy either, only move directly back. UNTIL they make a motivation check to get back to normal in their turn. [IMG] [/IMG]

Board B, Russian section 5.
[IMG] [/IMG]True carnage here, you just knew the Pioneers would pay for the successfull gapping of the minefield. Russian infrantry fire at the pioneers, many hits here, and one pioneer squad goes down AT guns fire at the Pioneer half-tracks, with 3 shots per gun, the first armour for the Germans goes up in flames.... SU 85s also take a shot at the Pioneer vehicles, scratch one more track, but the Germans count themselves lucky that their squads were already out of the vehicles!! SU 122's take some cannon fire and MG's also spray the Pioneer squads, 1 more pioneer infrantry squad bites the russian soil. Stalin 2 and the 76mm Sherman direct their fire at the Jagdpanzer IV's, all miss, The KV-85 moves up, but it is still on the bridge with no line of sight yet....... STAVKA is pleased with their commander!!!! Last edited by TRDG; July 20th, 2008 at 06:25 PM. |
