This is from my photo collection it was found in a Gebrigsjäger photo album .I know they are not GJ must be some conection by the way I dont know who the Knights Cross winner is

Set up by retreating Russian soldiers.(it came from a school) When the Germans came upon it they supposedly laughed and left it.

As a matter of fact they adopted it sort of. It was set up on the Southern Approach to Stalingrad and over time was dressed with bits and pieces of clothing and other items.

I've seen them as vests as well.
