Re: Captured

Great pics Paul. Where do you get them all? One thing I will point out is that is several of the threads you have pictures repeated twice and a few times three times in the same thread.

Not sure if anyone noticed but a few of those columns had female soldiers in them.

One of the reasons that they didn't try to escape was that Stalin made it a military crime (not sure how else to say it) to return to a unit with out a weapon. They would be charged with desertion even if they were escaped prisoners and could be shot on the spot. This was also a problem with MIA soldiers, they were all classified as deserters.

Matt, I just scrolled the whole thread and saw no repeats. Unless you are counting quote replies that copy the photo from the OP.

As for where I got them, go to the start of the section and read "About The Photos In This Section".

Oh...I could have sworn I saw repeats...it might just be that it is 1 am...maybe in other threads but what ever not really that important. Most I think was you posting and then someone else posting it.

Will read

Go get some sleep Matt. I'll go find a translator for the above.

Exclamation Re: Captured

There's something haunting about the looks on the faces captured soldiers, it must a universal thing because its the same look I saw on the faces of captured Interhamwe/Genocidaires in Rwanda. They hoped so badly we were there to take them into UIN custody, they were wrong.

Sorry off track but had to be said. Bob out

Re: Captured

Are those Soviet females as POW's?? I was under the impression that not too many were taken prisoner. This is from what I have read.
