Anything is possible. The guy I got these from said he has collected them for years. But he says they are all front line shots by troops, not PK.

I've seen it more than a few times before at different places.

See if you can find a copy. He said he had some of these on a photography site a few years back, so they could have been lifted and spread around. But a book reprint would be another story. I know out the hundreds I have looked at so far I found one T-34 photo that I saw on another site, just cropped different.
