Combat Mission Series?

I have the Barabrossa to Berlin and Afrika Korps versions. Was wondering if anyone else has these and what they think of them?

Wink Re: Combat Mission Series?

I have the first two of the three of the series, fun stuff, but I hav'nt played them in a long time. My new cheap computer refuses to run them sad to say, but at the time they were first introduced, they were cutting edge stuff and I was more than happy to play then hour after hour.
My one "complaint (very minor) was the camo scheme on a lot of the German armour was not diversified enough. Other than that, the game rocked my world, before I started playing Flames of War, a miniature table top game.

Cheers, welcome to the site Battlepuppy, I like your handle!!

Re: Combat Mission Series?

I have only played the Western Europe game myself and it is a great game. My old computer was a bit slow though. Some of the artillery was a bit too powerful at times but it was good how tanks could be used properly. The order system and interface were well done too.

Thanks sir, happy to be here. Yeah I thought that too about the camo. But from looking at the site KG linked they have a ton of mods for camo. Uniforms also it seems.

Yes, there are several sites out there that host mods for all three games. Some of the mods are so good that the game looks completely different when your done installing them. Such as better and more life-like terrain and trees mods ect. But the mods that stand out are the gorgeous camo mods for tanks and inf.
